Infectious Disease Clinic

The clinic cares for adults with a variety of infectious diseases, including bacterial, mycobacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.   • Complicated Infectious Disease Consultation
  • Patients with HIV infection or AIDS
  • Travel Medicine Clinic (see information listed below, this is a “self-referral” clinic)
The Travel Medicine Clinic offers counseling on travel-related precautions, antibiotic prophylaxis, and required immunizations for recreational or non-official travel. Patients may directly call the clinic to make an appointment for pre-travel consultation; you do not need a referral. For optimal care, travel appointments should be made at least 4 weeks prior to the date of travel. Patients should bring their up to date immunization record to during travel clinic appointments. Patients may call the main phone number to the Infectious Disease Clinic (706-787-2351) to make an appointment on a self-referral basis.

Referral is by Consultation, SF 513 from Primary or Specialty Care Provider, with the exception of the travel clinic.
