MHS GENESIS is Here!

On June 11, 2022 the Department of Defense’s new electronic health record (EHR), MHS GENESIS, launched here at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. MHS GENESIS replaces TRICARE Online at this facility.

Request Appointments in the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

Reach out to your Eisenhower health care team by sending a Secure Message anytime it’s convenient for you from your computer, tablet or smartphone via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal by visiting https://my.mhsgenesis.health.mil/
Aren’t signed up for the Patient Portal? Visit our MHS GENESIS Patient Portal page to learn more information about registration and use.

Appointment availability will remain decreased for 30-60 days after our go-live date as our staff learn to integrate the new training and navigate the system.
As a readiness requirement, Active Duty personnel have priority for appointments.

Family members, retirees and all enrolled beneficiaries (other than active duty) may seek care at Urgent Care locations without the need for a referral.

Patients seeking specialty care at Eisenhower, but cannot be seen within 28 days, will receive a referral to the network.

Even with a network referral, patients may not be seen within 28 days because the network is also experiencing employee shortages.  Some providers may not accept new patients or may not have availability for several months.  But we will do all we can to accommodate you either at Eisenhower or in the network.

For our patients that utilize TRICARE online to book appointments, you may need to call our appointment line to access any available appointments.
Central Appointments, (706-787-7300) will serve as your one-stop contact for appointments, if available, or for assistance with authorized network care.

Please keep in mind that a referral is still needed for specialty care that’s been deferred to the network.

We appreciate your patience as we work to adopt our new electronic health record and continue to provide you with 5 star care.

What is MHS GENESIS?

What is the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal?

Along with the new EHR, the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website available 24/7 that gives you access to your health information. Through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal, you can:

  • View health information
  • Schedule appointments
  • Communicate securely with providers
The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is replacing the TRICARE Online Secure Patient Portal.

What does this mean for me?

MHS GENESIS and the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal are replacing TRICARE Online, including the patient portal and secure messaging at this facility.

  • If you had a current TRICARE Online account, it migrated to MHS GENESIS on June 11. No action is necessary from you.
  • If you don’t already have a TRICARE Online account, you can log onto https://www.health.mil/Military-Health-Topics/Technology/MHS-GENESIS using your DS Logon Premium Account.
  • If don’t have a DS Logon Premium Account or if you have questions about DS Logon, visit the milConnect Website or call 1-800-538-9552.

What happens next?

Appointment availability from June 2022 through August 2022 will be affected, and appointment wait times will increase as our team adjusts to new technology and workflows. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we integrate MHS GENESIS to provide you with top-notch care.
