Health Services

Residential Treatment Facility (RTF)

All Eisenhower Behavioral Health services have been consolidated in building 329 in order to reduce unnecessary traffic to the main hospital. See main Behavioral Health page for map to building 329 and more information.

The RTF is intended to provide intensive inpatient residential treatment for Active Duty U.S. military personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) with severe Alcohol and other Substance Use Disorders to strengthen the overall fitness and readiness of the military force. Other co-occurring disorders (PTSD, Depression, and mTBI) may also be addressed during the four week inpatient treatment program. Treatment is provided in a military-focused program environment to facilitate therapeutic change and to prepare for return of the service member to the military force.

  • Psychiatric and Medical Evaluation and Treatment

  • Psychological Testing

  • Biopsychosocial Assessment

  • Individualized Treatment Planning

  • 24/7 Nursing Evaluation and Treatment

  • Group Therapy

  • Marital/Family and Individual Therapy (available based on clinical need)

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Recreation Therapy

  • Military Chaplain Support

  • Active Participation in 12 Step (Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous) Groups and Sponsor Program

  • Active Discharge Planning for return to military outpatient SUD treatment programs (Army Substance Abuse Program – ASAP and other service equivalent programs)

  • Other medical services (Pain Management, Neurology, other medical) available by consult

Accessing RTF Care

Patients must be referred to the RTF through ASAP or other service equivalent programs. Military members or providers should contact their local ASAP or service equivalent program for initial SUD evaluation and possible referral.
