Ambulatory Surgery Center

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is currently located on the 3rd floor. The unit supports 22 plus clinics. The patients are seen by a registered nurse for the nursing assessment, and the patients and their escort are given pre-operative instructions. Anesthesia visits are performed on patients in the ASC following their pre-operative appointment.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center also supports pediatric patients needing sedation for radiological and neurological studies. The center provides pre-procedure care and post-procedure recovery nursing care for children and post-procedure education to their parent(s). Postoperatively, patients are recovered in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in ASC.
