Child and Family Mental Health Services

CAFMHS serves children, adolescent, and adult beneficiaries as well as retirees and their dependents (if space is available) by offering time-limited, problem-focused, evidence-based psychosocial treatment in the form of individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. Medication management is also offered.
Services Available
Please see your primary care provider first. Your primary care provider will conduct an initial evaluation, at which time they may place a referral to CAFMHS through your electronic medical record. Once the referral from your primary care provider is received, CAFMHS staff will contact you to discuss your treatment options. It is important that you have updated contact information in your medical record.
*Please note that CAFMHS does not see walk-ins. If you require a same-day appointment you may be seen at your patient centered medical home or you may seek emergency care at your nearest emergency room.
