Appointment with a Dietitian

We are a self-referral service, please call 706-787-2243 to make an appointment. Please note that you may have to attend a nutrition class before your 1:1 appointment with a dietitian.

Our dietitians can cover nutrition therapy sessions for the following: weight management, weight management while on weight loss medication, weight gain, performance nutrition, supplement safety, type I diabetes, type II diabetes, prediabetes, gestational diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure, cancer, eating disorders, fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, hypothyroidism, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc.

We now see pediatrics! Newborns through 17 years of age are now eligible to see a registered dietitian at Eisenhower Army Medical Center.  

Nutrition Classes

Please call 706-787-2243 to register for a nutrition class as space is limited. Classes will be held in 300 E Hospital Road Fort Gordon, GA 30905 (DDEAMC Main Hospital) on the third floor in Ike’s café unless otherwise specified by medical support assistant.

Fit for Performance

1st Tuesday of every month at 0900-1030 and 3^rd Tuesday of every month at 1300-1430.
A scientifically based lifestyle and behavior modification program designed to help service members lose weight and maximize military performance. This class is a requirement for soldiers flagged for the Army Body Composition Program in AR 600-9 (Flag K) to receive a dietitian counseling memorandum. Memorandums will be given upon completion of the class.

Healthy Eating Healthy Weight

4^th Tuesday of every month at 1300. Nutrition class that specifies weight loss nutrition therapy for dependents and retirees. Recommended for those that are on a weight loss medication.

Diabetes Nutrition

2^nd Tuesday of every month at 1300. Nutrition class that covers nutrition therapy for individuals diagnosed with prediabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), or type II diabetes. Individuals with type I diabetes or gestational diabetes will get a 1:1 with a dietitian without having to attend a nutrition class first. Open to active duty, dependents, and retirees.

Heart Healthy Nutrition

4^th Friday of every month at 1300. Nutrition class that covers heart healthy diet and lifestyle interventions. Open to active duty, dependents, and retirees.

Installation Nutrition Presentations on Request

Are you interested in having a dietitian come speak at your unit or event on Fort Gordon? Topics include general nutrition, weight loss, performance nutrition, supplement safety, and more.
