Nutrition Classes
Fit for Performance
1st and 3rd Wednesday/month from 0800-0900 (8-9 a.m.)
A scientifically based lifestyle and behavior modification program designed to help Soldiers lose weight and/or meet their body fat standard as outlined in AR 600-9 Army Body Composition Program. This class aims to maximize military readiness and job performance while lowering risk of weight-related diseases for service members.
Healthy Eating for a Heathy Weight
2nd Wednesday/month from 0800-0900 (8-9 a.m.)
4th Tuesday/month from 1500-1600 (3-4 p.m.)
Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean dieting or giving up all the foods you love. Learn how to ditch the junk, give your body the nutrient-dense fuel it needs, and love every minute of it! This group class will discuss topics such as meal planning, mindful eating, and weight management.
Heart Health
2nd & 4th Tuesday/month from 1300-1400 (1-2 p.m.)
Is your diet healthy for your heart? Would you like to eat better or learn more about heart healthy foods? This group class offers science-based nutrition tips and how to make lifestyle changes for heart health.
Pre-Diabetes & Diabetes Education
1st Tuesday/month from 1500-1600 (3-4 p.m.)
4th Wednesday/month from 0800-0900 (8-9 a.m.)
A healthy diet is central to the management of pre-diabetes and diabetes. This group class will explore simple lifestyle changes to help those with diabetes control their blood sugar and feel great.

Achieving peak performance requires balancing the body’s nutritional needs with the demands of everyday life. This group class discusses important principles of sports nutrition, balancing your energy tank, fueling and nutrient timing, hydration, and dietary supplement safety.
Individual appointments available after attending class or with referrals and at the discretion of Chief, Clinical Dietetics.
