Pharmacy Prescription Options

We are pleased to offer our patients multiple ways to receive their prescriptions. Please see below for options to activate new prescriptions.

SAVE TIME BY USING OUR ONLINE OPTION

Online Option (PREFERRED): Starting at 8:30 a.m., go to https://cxmlink.com/MTF5641 (or scan the QR code if you have it). Follow the prompts to activate your prescriptions. It is strongly encouraged to include comments in the comment field to alert pharmacy to which medication(s) you are looking to activate. Once activation is complete, you’ll receive a message on the screen with a “Q” number and options to send another message to the pharmacy. Unless a patient wants to send another message, they can close the browser. The “Q” number serves no purpose other than confirmation of information received.

  • Prescriptions activated before 10 a.m. can be picked up the same day after 3 p.m.
  • Prescriptions activated after 10 a.m. can be picked up after noon the next business day.
  • *You do not need to wait in the pharmacy while your medications are being processed.*
  • Once you arrive to the Pharmacy lobby, please take a “Return for Pickup” ticket from the kiosk and wait to be called.
  • You may receive a text message notification if additional documents are required, or medication is out of stock.

TEXT OPTION:

Starting at 8:30 a.m., text “Get In Line” to 877-443-0592. The text response will send you the link to use the preferred online option. Patients with older phones and/or no internet can respond to the text message with the patient’s DOD ID number and follow the prompts to activate your prescription(s). Once activation is complete, you’ll receive a “Q” number that serves no purpose other than confirmation of information received.

IN PERSON OPTION:

  • Time Saver Option: Stop by the kiosk in the Pharmacy Lobby and select an “Activate Prescription” ticket.
  • “Activate Prescription” tickets are not called at the pharmacy, so please do not wait in the lobby. Come by the next business day to pick up your medication(s).
  • When you come back to the Pharmacy to pick up your medications, select a “Return for Pickup” ticket at the kiosk and wait to be called.   

WAITING OPTION:

  • Stop by the kiosk in the Pharmacy Lobby and select an “Discharge” ticket.
  • Wait in the lobby while the pharmacy prepares your medications. Wait times can vary throughout the day.   

PHONE OPTION:

  • Contact the DDEAMC Pharmacy at 706-787-5811 or 8033 (option 2, then option 1).
  • Hours of operation for the Pharmacy Call Center are Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Closed Weekends and Federal Holidays
  • Unfortunately, call volume may exceed capacity. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please try again at a different time if the line is busy.

ScriptCenter

Refill Prescriptions Only

Call 786-304-1153, then choose the following options:
  • Option 1 to pick up at the Exchange (PX) Refill Pharmacy window.
  • Option 2 to pick up at the Script Center Self Service located in the Exchange (PX) Refill Pharmacy.
  • Option 3 to pick up at the Script Center Self Service located in the Main Outpatient Pharmacy.
  • Option 4 to pick up at the Oncology Pharmacy. This refill option is only for oncology prescriptions initially filled at the Oncology Pharmacy.
- ScriptCenter requires you to register the first time.

     Include your written prescription and your prescription copayment.
 
Affordable medication prices:
Here’s what you’ll typically pay for a 90 days supply of a generic medications:
     Home Delivery = $12
     Network Retail Pharmacy = $42
 
***Active Duty service members always pay $0 for medications***

RETAIL NETWORK

New and Refill Prescriptions (may have a co-pay with this option)
If you would like to pick up your medications off-post, visit one of the civilian retail pharmacies that are approved by TRICARE.
***Must discuss this option with your care team when the medication is prescribed.***

Our Military Pharmacy Services

Maintenance Drugs

Maintenance drugs are those you take regularly for a chronic condition (i.e., drugs to control blood pressure or cholesterol).All beneficiaries must refill certain maintenance drugs through home delivery or at military pharmacies. This does not apply to Active Duty service members.

Search the List of Maintenance Drugs to see if you have a prescription you should have transferred to be filled here at Eisenhower Army Medical Center or via home delivery.

TRICARE Formulary

The TRICARE Core Formulary is a list of drugs that are available at all full-service military pharmacies. Use our TRICARE Formulary Search Tool. Eisenhower will fill a 90 day supply for most medications listed as uniform formulary. See attached for our frequently stocked medications list.
Active duty service members have a $0 copayment for covered drugs at any pharmacy.

The TRICARE Formulary is a list of generic and brand-name prescription drugs covered by TRICARE. You can search the to:

  • See how much it costs and where you can get it filled
  • See if your prescription needs prior authorization
  • Look up the medical necessity criteria
  • Get the prior authorization and medical necessity forms for your prescription
