Travel Medicine

Individuals planning to travel to parts of the world where unusual diseases may be present should see the Travel Medicine clinic several weeks or months before the planned trip. The vaccinations and/or protective medications needed for safety in the tropics may require two or three doses, given over several months. For Travel Medicine advice you do not need a Consultation from your primary physician. Call the TRICARE appointment line and ask for an appointment in the Travel Medicine Clinic. It is very important to do this well ahead of embarking upon your foreign travel.
